Camp Baldwin, Elberta, Alabama

Well it's been way  too long since I posted, but honestly... I just never gave it a thought, and we are starting our second week today!!! This is a very pretty camp that sits on a  bay with dolphins swimming right up to the large dock. The best time to view them, depends on which person you talk to. 🤣 We have seen them at different times.

This is the RV site. We are second from the left.

This is the dock where you can see the dolphins. It’s a very peaceful place.

                                                             Another view of the dock.

Camp Baldwin is a beautiful camp that offers their facility to churches to host camp. The camp does not offer programing, just the facility. The jobs us women are doing for the most part is painting, laundry and turning duvet covers into bedspreads. It's a slow process, cutting off the sheet and trimming 16" off the side that will be used for the bedspread after sewing in a hem. The sheet part will actually be used as a sheet after being hemmed.

The guys have been working on various projects such as tearing up old carpeting in rooms and laying new carpet squares as well as painting the rooms. New benches for a fire pit are being constructed. Drain and septic issues were addressed so... playing  in the dirt was at hand.

There Is a lot of space here for Allie to run and swim. I keep her away from swampy spots where alligators may be lurking.

Cute little mill replica by RV site

.                                                               Beauty is all around us.

Met with our good friends from home who were vacationing in Florida. So good to see them!!!

We've spent time on days off walking on the beach and driving around admiring God's handiwork.  Learned a new card game that is a lot of fun, called Sluff.  Evidently, it is the “unofficial” Sower game. The problem is, you need a minimum of 6 players which is a problem if the Sower group is small.   We've celebrated a birthday and have a cookout planned for this week.

This is our Sower group for this month

One of the couples actually left this morning to go home, with  one week left on our project.  You guessed it... concern over the virus.  Their kids wanted them to get home while they still can. I know we need to be careful, but each of our days are already numbered and God does not want us to live in fear. It's all pretty crazy!
